Belgian  Army Copy of US Army WWII Airborne troops visual signal panel Air Liaison AL-140 B red. So here is the deal with this. This is a Belgian  copy of the US AL 140B signal panel. The straps are a little different than US straps. There is an actual US made panel inside though from the looks of it. So this is what I think happened. The Belgian  used the AL 140 panels after the war. I have several of those for sale too. The riggers most likely copied the case from the original, and made a copy of it to replace a torn up one that was no longer serviceable. Almost exactly like the original, but there are no markings at all. Basically a Post WWII copy of the original. This is perfect for reenacting, or for your Airborne or Pathfinder display. They are very hard to find. Even though it is a yellow panel, it looks like a red one or pink to me. These are used to mark the drop zones or to spell out codes to re-supply aircraft etc.
