Vtg WWII US Army HBT Trousers Pants Herringbone Twill 13 Star Buttons 34 x 33
Vintage World War II era pair of U.S. Army herringbone twill (HBT) trousers in the OD7 shade. These are the late-WWII HBT's with the pockets dropped down from the waistband a few inches. Two large expanding cargo pockets with flaps are attached more on the side of the hips than on the rear. Metal 13-star buttons at the fly and pocket tops. Gas flap inside fly with another button on the inside to attach. These HBT trousers were widely worn by U.S. troops during World War II and in all possible situations, including combat. Spec tag has been removed.
Sold as is.
As found. Trousers do not show much wear. No holes, rips, fraying or threadbare spots. The seams are holding tight. Not washed out or excessively faded. All buttons and belt loops are present and in fine condition. Some sort of spill has occurred on the upper leg fronts, leaving some light-colored stains or areas of color loss (see photos 3, 5 and 11). In addition, there is general soiling at the left rear and extending onto the cargo pocket and some staining on the right cargo pocket and lower on the right leg as well. Please examine photos to assess condition before bidding. I have not attempted to clean these trousers so a good washing would probably improve them. They are currently odor neutral.
These trousers are tagged Waist 34, Length (inseam) 33, a fairly large size for that era.
Actual waist size, according to my measurements, is 33. Go by that number if you intend to wear these. Actual inseam measurement is 31 (probably some shrinkage), but the high rise (13") gives you extra leg length if you wear these high-waisted trousers a little lower.
Payment within three days of first invoice.
