Description

Set we pulled from a local estate sale last week, and all items laundry marked to the same infantry private, Henry W. Bressler (1904-1988) of Greene Isle, Minnesota. He was drafted and left for active duty in July 1942. The next year he married back in Minnesota, so may have had an early discharge based on the earlier pattern uniforms in such nice condition. We have not done further research.
The tunic is size 38L and has a 1942 contract tag. This is the earlier bi-swing style tunic with brass hooks for the garrison belt. One match head sized moth hole back of collar, otherwise excellent. It has both lapel disks, and a marksman badge with rifle and machine gun bars.
The trousers are size 34 X 33 and dated 1940 so are the earlier "mustard" color. Excellent overall and show little use.
The leather garrison belt is size 38. The infantry piped overseas cap has a couple of moth nips and is laundry marked to the same soldier.
Shipping weight 6 pounds.
