After attending the arts and crafts school in Karlsruhe, he lived in Paris for two years, then worked in Munich, and in 1939 the National Socialists awarded him the title of professor. In 1941 the Munich apartment was bombed out and he set up a studio in St. Märgen on the top floor of Wagensteigstrasse 4. He dies there, but is buried in Kempten. - Good copy.
