Original Universal Pictures Scene Lobby Card (11x14) for the Arthur Lubin adventure comedy, HOLD THAT GHOST (1941) starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Richard Carlson, and Joan Davis. This wartime-era Abbott and Costello movie - one of their better films - has the two comedians playing fumbling gas station attendants who inherit some money - and on their way to claim it get stranded in a haunted house with several other folks. Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were one of the most popular comedy acts of the forties and fifties. Abbott was the straight man -- and always a little mean, it seems, to the affable and flappable Costello. Lou Costello did comic fear well, and several of their films exploit the connection with Universal Studios' penchant for horror films. This card is in very good condition with some pinholes and paper abrasions and small creases in the border area. Their are a few pinholes in the image area and general signs of wear and theater-use.
