Geiger attended the arts and crafts school, the technical college and the academy in Munich, his teachers include Franz von Stuck and Peter Halm. After an interlude in Berlin, he returns and becomes a professor at the School of Applied Arts. The Nazis fired him and in 1946 he was able to resume teaching. He created bookplates all his life, and Schreyl lists 347 sheets, Paul G. Becker listed a number of works after that. Not to be underestimated is the style-forming effect that Geiger had on numerous bookplate makers. - Minimally stained.
