Born in Leipzig, he studied at the Dresden Art Academy with Richard Müller, Schindler, Zwintscher and Bracht. He is attributed to the landscapers. "Being one with nature, the happiness of being completely absorbed in nature, can be felt in Allen its leaves." (Lenze in ELZ 1919, p. 80) - Smallest assembly abrasion on the back.
