Comments: * Thieme-Becker 22; not with Gutenberg; Witte Opus 38. - Signed in the print. Art is attributed to the landscapers. His alpine motifs in particular are valued to this day. He has created more than 400 bookplates and his preferred technique was etching. But he also made woodcuts and linocuts, as well as a few wonderfully pretty color lithographs. He is also known for his humorous remarques in the preferred prints, which put him almost on a par with the masters of the genre, Héroux and Winkler. - Small remnants of assembly on the back.
