The medical studies he had started interrupted the First World War, which Bauer had to experience from beginning to end, after which he followed his inclinations and studied at the Munich Academy, among others with Adolf Schinnerer, who had a strong influence on him. Bauer is one of the few Expressionist artists in the bookplate, and the fantastic, wild, rough and subtle dominate his sheets. - Smallest assembly remnants on the back.
