PRESENTING FROM A RETIRED/WELL KNOWN AMERICAN MAGICIAN'S PERSONAL ESTATE IS A RARE AND UNIQUE VINTAGE MAGIC PROP AND LOBBY POSTER FROM HIS PRIVATE COLLECTION THAT MANAGED TO SURVIVE OVER MANY MANY DECADES. This stage prop is the live canary act - temporary holding cage. ALTHOUGH PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TWO BLACK AND WHITE ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASES IN THE ORIGINAL 1946 NEWSPAPER ARTICLES ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS SALE, SORRY. This vintage/original colorful specific size and design quick access stage cage was used extensively by Virgil and Julie the great illusionist/magicians for the "baffling bird trick" by which Virgil astoundingly fires a live canary from a tube of paper into a sealed incandescent lamp globe before a large truly captivated theater audience each evening during his and Julie's "world tour" stage appearances/performances throughout many different countries as well as the USA during the 1940's. This colorful small temporary holding stage cage measures approx. 11" long by 7" across and is 12" high. ALSO INCLUDED AS PHOTOS SHOW IS ONE OF THOSE 1940's  WORLD TOUR EVENT COLORFUL VINTAGE LOBBY POSTERS THAT ALSO SURVIVED OVER THESE MANY DECADES AS WELL. IT MEASURES APPROX. 18" LONG BY 11 1/2" ACROSS. I believe these two items would be truly a nice welcome addition to anyone's vintage magic props/magician's acts display or their unique collection of a historical magical era!
