Offering this beautiful antique bookplate designed for the library of publishing magnate Alfred Harmsworth. The bookplate is signed in the plate with the initials WPB. The design features a landscape at the center, a roulette wheel with a wing and a fishing creel with a fly rod at the top, and a desktop with books, a printing press and an open Izaak Walton tome at the bottom. There is some scuffing on the back, presumably where it was removed from a book, but the engraving is in good condition. Measures 4 3/4" x 3 3/4".
