Comments: * Thieme-Becker 36; Vollmer 5. - He had to break off his training at the arts and crafts school in Karlsruhe for health reasons; This is followed by a three-year stay in a sanatorium in Davos; In 1919 he was expelled from Switzerland and he moved to Murg in Baden. In 1921 he exhibited together with Emil Bizer and Wilhelm Schnarrenberger in the Moos Gallery (Karlsruhe). In 1937 some of his works were posthumously confiscated during the 'Degenerate Art' campaign. - Smallest assembly remnants on the back.
